Greater Stavanger has a particular focus on the internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises. Nearly 80 percent of the companies in the region have fewer than 20 employees. These companies are our target market.

We assist businesses in the process of becoming more competitive in the international arena.

We host delegation visits

In 2010, we have planned and executed delegation visits for the local business community to Rio de Janeiro, Houston and Shanghai. The annual trip to the oil exhibition OTC in Houston attracted a record number of participants. In total, over 1,300 people from the business community in the Stavanger region have attended our trips to Houston.

Business Service Centre

Greater Stavanger has established a Business Services Centre facility that can help you arrange successful business visits to our region. In co-operation we can plan and carry out programs that successfully cover your needs and hopefully most of your wishes.

We have local representatives on three continents

The Stavanger region’s European Office was established in 1993 and is a joint project among the public sector, research and development institutions and the business community in Rogaland. Our presence in Brussels gives us a unique opportunity to be close to the European Union's decision-making processes, and to capture current affairs at the European level.

We also have representatives in Houston and Rio de Janeiro.
